Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

We Buy Any Bike is a trading name of MotoGB Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use We Buy Any Bike, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

MotoGB Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales (company number 03989635, VAT number 153 377 993), with its registered office at Fairclough House, Church Street, Adlington, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 4EX. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us when you request a quote, book a collection or contact us: your name, address, postcode, telephone number and email address; details of your motorbike (registration number, make, model, year, mileage and condition); and, where a sale goes ahead, the bank account details needed to pay you.
  • Cookies — small text files stored by your browser. Some are essential for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings (see section 6).
  • Traffic data automatically logged by our servers, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is analysed on an aggregated basis and is not used to identify you personally.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide you with the service you have requested — namely to value your motorbike, confirm an offer, arrange free collection and make payment. We also use it to respond to your enquiries, keep records of transactions, and (only where you have asked us to) send you marketing communications about our products and services. We will not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

4. Vehicle registration lookups

When you enter a registration number, we send it to a third-party vehicle data provider to retrieve basic details about your bike (such as make, model, colour and engine size) so we can speed up your quote. This data is used solely to help value your motorbike.

5. Sharing your information

We may share your information with:

  • Other companies within our group and our professional advisors;
  • Trusted third-party service providers who help us run our service — for example vehicle data providers, payment providers and collection/logistics partners — who are required to keep your data secure and use it only on our instructions;
  • Prospective purchasers or partners in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business;
  • Law enforcement, regulators or other authorities where we are required to do so by law.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses essential cookies required for it to function correctly (for example to manage your session, remember your cookie choices and protect against cross-site request forgery). We may also use analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site; analytics data may be processed on servers outside the UK. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

7. International transfers

We store and process your personal data in the UK/EEA wherever possible. Where a service provider (such as our analytics provider) processes data outside the UK/EEA, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by law.

8. Data security

Only authorised personnel and contractors have access to your information. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction or damage.

9. Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required to meet our legal, accounting or reporting obligations.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. There is normally no charge for exercising these rights. To make a request, please contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. Please review it regularly for any updates.

12. Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us or email info@webuyany-bike.com. You can also write to us at MotoGB Ltd, Fairclough House, Church Street, Adlington, Chorley, PR7 4EX.
